‘I’m a Barbie girl in a Barbie World. Life in plastic, it’s fantastic.’
The live-action Barbie movie is coming to our screens, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Having watched the trailer almost a billion times, we are counting down the days until our inner child absolutely bursts with joy!
Building up to the release on 21st July 2023, we have watched the cast and crew strut down the red (pink) carpet in the most exquisite as dare I say, glittery outfits that have sprinkled a little bit of inspiration our way.
The stunning cast were dressed to impress during the worldwide press tour, with the likes of Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, aka the gorgeous classic Barbie and Ken, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Emma Mackey, to name a few.
Margot Robbie in particular definitely understood the assignment!

The movie supposedly follows the story of Barbie and Ken having the time of their lives in the colourful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.
Exciting, right?

Our First Place look is: Classy Barbie
Just simply fabulous!
Like I said, Margot Robbie, smashed the assignment. Through recreating those iconic Barbie looks and sprinkling the nostalgia, we didn’t know that we needed!
Throw in our Lemonade Glitter Jelly Shoes and I am right back to being 5 years old, dressing up my Barbie dolls in all sorts of glittery and extravagant outfits!
However, in hindsight, these outfits were not always as co-ordinated as I would have liked!
But I was 5 and I thought what I was creating was the peak of fashion!
Fun Fact: the best-selling Barbie doll is Totally Hair Barbie, released in 1992, having sold more than 10 million dolls worldwide.
